Pricing & Refund Policy

1. Pricing for consumers

Watt2Buy is a free, public-good calculator. There is no paid tier, no “pro” upgrade, no “unlock” button. You do not pay us a rupee to:

• Compare Electric, Petrol, Diesel, CNG or Hybrid vehicles on TCO.
• See lifecycle CO₂, Watt2Buy Score, financing or sensitivity analysis.
• Print a dealer brief, share a comparison, or export a PDF.
• Request a city, file a data correction, or raise a grievance.

Because there is no payment from users, there is nothing to refund. If anyone ever asks you to pay for access to Watt2Buy, please report it immediately to netra@walawalkar.com — it is not us.

2. Pricing for institutions

For DISCOMs, state EV cells, OEM fleet teams, banks/NBFCs, CSR programmes, large corporates and academic institutions who want white-label, API access, bulk-export, custom state presets or co-branded embeds, Watt2Buy offers paid institutional engagements handled directly by WE LLP under a separate commercial agreement. Contact netra@walawalkar.com with “Watt2Buy Institutional” in the subject.

These commercial engagements have their own terms, invoices and refund policy as negotiated in the master services agreement (MSA). This public page does not cover those.

3. Affiliate link disclosure

Some buttons on Watt2Buy (e.g. “Book test drive”, “Get best price”) may, in the future, carry affiliate tracking so that dealers / OEMs pay WE LLP a small referral fee if you book a test drive through them. When we add that, we will disclose it on every such link and in our Terms §6. These are payments to us from the dealer, not from you. You never pay Watt2Buy.

4. What if I bought a vehicle based on Watt2Buy numbers and feel misled?

Watt2Buy is a modelled estimate, not a quote. See our Disclaimer for the limits of our model and your pre-purchase verification responsibilities. We have no financial relationship with any dealer on the transaction side, and we cannot refund a vehicle purchase you made at a dealer. Your contract is with the dealer / OEM / lender, not with Watt2Buy.

If you believe Watt2Buy published a number that was factually wrong at the time of your purchase, please file a grievance via /grievance. We will investigate, publish a correction if warranted, and document the version history.

5. Donations

Watt2Buy does not accept public donations in its current form. If you work for an organisation that wants to support the project (CSR, climate philanthropy, research grants), please reach out via /contact with category “Partnership / institutional”.
